Via iTunes:
NOTE: If you have iTunes installed on a computer thats connected to the Internet, you can use the app to sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the contacts from the account with the Coolpad Rogue.
- Connect the iPhone to your PC via USB
- Open iTunes and click the iPhone to view its summary page
- Access the Info tab and enable Sync Contacts With
- From the drop-down menu, select Google Contacts
- Sign in with your Google account or alternatively, click Configure and select an existing account, if applicable
- Click Apply to begin the sync between the iPhone and the account
- After the process is complete, register the Google account on the Coolpad Rogue and allow it to sync contacts with your Android device
Via iCloud:
NOTE: Assuming that your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on your PC
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Click Contacts and select the desired contacts to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard is exported (downloaded on the PC), import it to Google Contacts or:
- Alternatively skip the step above and instead, connect the Coolpad Rogue to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard file to its storage, and use the Contacts app to import the vCards contacts to the phonebook
Via My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: My Contacts Backup is a third party app for iOS which can be used to back up and transfer contacts via email, without requiring access to a computer. To use this method:
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on your iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup
- After the backup file is created, tap Email
- Make sure the vCard file is attached to the email, and send it to your own address
- Switch to the Coolpad Rogue and open the email
- Download the attached vCard file
- Import the backup files contents using the Contacts application
Via Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app (iOS and Android), which uses a P2P connection to transfer contacts (cross-platform too) without needing access to a computer. To perform this method:
- Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone from the App Store
- Visit the Play Store on the Coolpad Rogue and install the same app
- Open the application on both devices
- Tap Send on the iPhone
- Tap Contacts and select the desired contacts
- Tap Send and select a transfer method. You can tap Receive on the Rogue and enter the transfer code from the iPhone, or tap Generate QR Code on the iPhone and scan the code with the Rogues camera to begin the transfer
