Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the phone to the PC via USB
- Swipe the Notification bar down and make sure the device is connected as a Media device (MTP)
- Launch an Explorer window on the computer and navigate to the audio files on your hard drive
- Copy the files, and navigate to the phone storage
- Transfer the files in the phones Media directory, preferably in the Ringtones / Alarms / Audio > Notifications folder(s). (NOTE: if either one of these folders is missing you can create it manually)
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage from the system tray, and safely disconnect the device from the USB
Change the General Ringtone:
- Open the apps drawer
- Access Settings
- Tap Sound & notification
- Tap the gear icon associated with your current sound profile
- Tap Phone ringtone and select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK and optionally, enable or disable Vibrate
Change a Contacts Ringtone:
NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned to contacts stored on the SIM card or the internal memory.
- Launch Contacts
- Select the desired contact
- Tap Menu > Set ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone and tap OK
Change the Notification Sound:
- Open the apps drawer and go to Settings
- Tap Sound & notification
- Tap the gear icon associated with your current sound profile
- Select Default Notification Sound
- Choose a notification sound and tap OK
