Via iTunes:
NOTE: With iTunes installed on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then, you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Lenovo Vibe X3.
- Connect the iPhone to your computer using the Lightning cable
- Launch iTunes on the PC
- In iTunes, click the iPhone and access the Info tab
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is complete, switch to the X3, sign in with the same account, and allow the account to sync contacts with your phone
Using iCloud:
NOTE: In case the contacts on your iPhone have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in vCard format.
- Open the Internet browser on your computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
- Click Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard is downloaded on your computer, import it to Google Contacts or alternatively:
- Connect the Vibe X3 to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and use the Contacts app to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: If you want to transfer contacts without requiring a computer, you can use third party apps instead. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and transfer your iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the application and tap Backup
- After the backup file is created, tap Email
- Make sure the vCard backup file is attached to the email and send it to your own address
- Switch to the Lenovo Vibe X3, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Use the Contacts app to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Last but not least, another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to transfer contacts (even cross-platform) without needing a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Lenovo device
- Open the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, select a transfer method. For instance, you can tap Generate QR Code on the iPhone and scan the code with the X3s camera, or tap Receive on the X3 and enter the transfer code generated on the iPhone
