Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Alcatel Pixi 4 to your computer via USB
- On the phone, swipe the Status bar down and make sure Disk drive is selected
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the desires audio files on your PC and copy them
- Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the Ringtones and Notification folders under the Media directory
- Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and disconnect the device from the USB cord
Change the General Ringtone:
- Access the phones Settings menu
- Scroll to Device and tap Sound
- Tap Phone ringtone under Call Ringtones & vibrate
- Select the ringtone you want to use
- Tap OK to confirm
- Optionally, you can turn Also vibrate for calls On or Off
Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:
NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones for contacts stored on the SIM card or the phones internal storage.
- Open Contacts
- Select the desired contact
- Tap Edit (icon depicting a pencil)
- Tap Menu > Set ringtone
- Select the desired ringtone
- Tap OK
Change the Notification Alert:
- Go to the phones Settings menu
- Scroll to Device and tap Sound & notification
- Tap Default Notification Sound under Sound
- Select the desired notification sound
- Tap OK
