Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Alcatel Pixi 4 to your computer via USB
  2. On the phone, swipe the “Status” bar down and make sure “Disk drive” is selected
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the desires audio files on your PC and copy them
  5. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” and “Notification” folders under the “Media” directory
  6. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and disconnect the device from the USB cord

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Access the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound”
  3. Tap “Phone ringtone” under “Call Ringtones & vibrate”
  4. Select the ringtone you want to use
  5. Tap “OK” to confirm
  6. Optionally, you can turn “Also vibrate for calls” On or Off

Change the Ringtone of a Specific Contact:

NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones for contacts stored on the SIM card or the phone’s internal storage.

  1. Open “Contacts”
  2. Select the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” (icon depicting a pencil)
  4. Tap “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
  5. Select the desired ringtone
  6. Tap “OK”

Change the Notification Alert:

  1. Go to the phone’s “Settings” menu
  2. Scroll to “Device” and tap “Sound & notification”
  3. Tap “Default Notification Sound” under “Sound”
  4. Select the desired notification sound
  5. Tap “OK”
