Sync iPhone Contacts with a Google Account via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the account data with the Coolpad Catalyst.
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- In iTunes, click the iPhone and access Info
- Turn on Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or, alternatively, click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- Once the sync is done, sign in the same Google account on the Coolpad Catalyst
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone
Sync iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have been already backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in to your account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
- Click Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share and click Settings
- Click Export vCard
- Once the vCard has been downloaded on the computer, follow one of the two steps below:
- Import the vCard via Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the Coolpad Catalyst to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard file to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require access to a computer with Internet access, alternatively, you can transfer contacts using third party apps instead. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and transfer iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup
- Once the vCard file has been created, tap Email
- Create a new email and ensure the vCard is attached
- Send the email to your own address
- On the Coolpad Catalyst, open the email and download the vCard file attachment
- Use Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
Via Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use for transferring contacts. The app is available on iOS and Android, and uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types, cross platform, without requiring a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Coolpad via the Google Play Store
- Launch the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, select a transfer method. For example, you can tap Generate QR Code on the iPhone and scan the code with the Android phones camera, or tap Receive on the Coolpad and enter the transfer code generated on the iPhone
