Back Up App Data:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Launch “Settings”
  3. Scroll to “Personal” and tap “Backup & reset”
  4. Turn on “Back up my data” to back up app data and settings to your Google account
  5. Turn on “Automatic restore” to allow app data to be restored automatically when signing in with your Google backup account

Back Up Contacts:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Accounts”
  3. Select the account type and account you want to use for contact syncing
  4. Enable “Contacts”
  5. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts backed up using this method can be restored automatically when signing in with your Google backup account.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:

  1. Establish a USB connection between the XOLO Era 1X and computer
  2. Turn on “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media device (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. On the computer, open the File Explorer
  4. Use the Explorer to locate the media files on the phone storage
  5. Copy the files and paste them in the desired backup location on the computer
  6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the XOLO Era 1X to the computer via USB
  2. Turn on “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media Device (MTP)” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer and locate the media file backups on the PC storage
  4. Copy the files and transfer them back on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directories they originate from
  5. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
