Sync iPhone Contacts with Google via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data and contacts with the Android device.
- Connect the iPhone to your computer using the Lightning cable
- Open iTunes on the computer and click the iPhone once connected
- Access Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu and sign in with your Google account
- Click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once the sync is complete, switch to the Archos Diamond 2 Note and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: In case the contacts on your iPhone are backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the desired contacts to share and click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard has been downloaded on the PC, follow one of these steps:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android phone to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and import it using Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can transfer contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and transfer contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Open the append tap Backup. This will create a vCard backup file containing your contacts
- Once done, tap Email and ensure the vCard is attached to the mail
- Send the email to your own address and switch to the Archos device
- Open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using Contacts
Via Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types without a computer.
- Visit the Google Play Store and install Send Anywhere on the Archos Diamond 2 Note
- Install the same app on the iPhone from the App Store
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- Tap Send > Contacts on the iPhone
- Select the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Choose a transfer method such as Receive or Generate QR Code and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
