Back Up App Data:
- Open the apps drawer
- Go to Settings
- Scroll to Personal
- Tap Backup & reset
- Turn Back up my data ON to back up app data, settings, Wi-Fi passwords etc. to your Google account
- Turn Automatic Restore ON to allow app data, settings etc. to be restored automatically when signing in with your Google backup account
Back Up Contacts:
- Launch Settings
- Scroll to and tap Accounts
- Select the desired account type
- Select the account you want to use for syncing your contacts
- Turn Contacts ON if necessary
- Tap Menu > Sync Now
NOTE: Contacts backed up using the method above can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account.
Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:
- Connect the Archos 50 Helium Plus to your computer via USB
- Turn Media device (MTP) / File Transfer (MTP) On when prompted or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media files on the phone and copy them
- Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC storage
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port
Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:
- Connect the Android phone to your PC via USB
- Enable File Transfer (MTP) / Media Device (MTP) when prompted or from the Notification area
- Launch the File Explorer on the computer
- Locate the media backup files on the computer and copy them
- Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the Media folder or the directory they originate from
- Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
