Back Up App Data:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Go to “Settings”
  3. Scroll to “Personal”
  4. Tap “Backup & reset”
  5. Turn “Back up my data” ON to back up app data, settings, Wi-Fi passwords etc. to your Google account
  6. Turn “Automatic Restore” ON to allow app data, settings etc. to be restored automatically when signing in with your Google backup account

Back Up Contacts:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Scroll to and tap “Accounts”
  3. Select the desired account type
  4. Select the account you want to use for syncing your contacts
  5. Turn “Contacts” ON if necessary
  6. Tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

NOTE: Contacts backed up using the method above can be restored automatically the next time you sign in with your Google backup account.

Back Up Media Files on a Windows Computer:

  1. Connect the Archos 50 Helium Plus to your computer via USB
  2. Turn “Media device (MTP)” / “File Transfer (MTP)” On when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media files on the phone and copy them
  5. Transfer the files in the desired backup location on the PC storage
  6. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the phone from the USB port

Restore Media Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the Android phone to your PC via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer (MTP)” / “Media Device (MTP)” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer
  4. Locate the media backup files on the computer and copy them
  5. Transfer the files on the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” folder or the directory they originate from
  6. Once the transfer is done, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB cord
