Sync iPhone Contacts with a Google Account via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Plum Compass.

  1. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes and click the iPhone
  3. Go to the “Info” section and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Register your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. Once the sync is done, switch to the Plum and sign in with the same Google account
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up to y our iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in vCard format for use on Android.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts”
  5. Select the desire contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. After the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
    • Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts”, or:
    • Connect the Plum Compass to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone from the App Store
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard backup file of your iPhone contacts
  3. Once the backup is done, tap “Email”
  4. Create a new email ensuring the vCard backup file is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. Switch to the Plum Compass, open the email and download the attached vCard
  7. Import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use for contact transfer. It uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types cross-platform without requiring a PC.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Google Play Store and install the same app on the Plum Compass
  3. Open the application on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select the desired transfer method, such as “Generate QR Code” or “Receive” and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
