Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the ZTE Blade X Max to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the “Notification” area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the computer and locate the desired audio files on the PC storage
  4. Copy and paste the desired audio files on the phone, preferably in the “Ringtones” and/or “Notifications” folder(s)
  5. After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Scroll to “Device”
  3. Tap “Sound & Notification”
  4. Select the ringtone you want to assign and tap “OK”
  5. Optionally, select whether to “Also vibrate for calls”

Change the Ringtone for a Specific Contact:

NOTE: You cannot set custom ringtones for contacts stored on the SIM card or the phone’s internal memory.

  1. Launch “Contacts”
  2. Tap and hold the desired contact
  3. Tap “Edit” > “Menu” > “Set ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone and tap “OK” to confirm

Change the Notification Sound:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Scroll to “Device”
  3. Tap “Sound & Notification”
  4. Tap “Default notification ringtone”
  5. Select the desired notification sound and tap “OK” to confirm
