Sync iPhone Contacts with Google via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data including contacts with the Android device.
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Click the iPhone and go to Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- After the sync is done, switch to the Archos 50 Graphite and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts
- Select the desired contacts
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer, go to Google Contacts and import the vCard to your phonebook
- Connect the Android device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can share contacts via email.
- Open the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup
- Once the backup is complete, tap Email and compose a new email containing the vCard attachment
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- Switch to the Archos 50 Graphite, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app available on iOS and Android. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.
- Open the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Launch the Google Play Store on the Archos device and install the same app
- Open the app on both smartphones
- Tap Send > Contacts on the iPhone
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send again
- Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the smartphones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
