Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. This will later allow you to sync the account data including contacts with the Android device.
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Click the iPhone and go to Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- After the sync is done, switch to the Android device and register the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with your account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the iPhone contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Go to Contacts
- Select the desired contacts
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard has been downloaded on the computer, perform one of the following:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android phone to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup
- After the backup is done, tap Email
- Attach the backup vCard file to the email
- Send the email to your own address
- Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android device from the Play Store
- Open the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, select the desired transfer method and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
