Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account, and then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes on the computer
  3. Click the iPhone in iTunes and go to “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. After the sync is done, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts have been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on Android.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and use “Google Contacts” to import the vCard to your phonebook or:
    • Connect the Android device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import it to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup”. This will create a vCard file containing your iPhone contacts
  3. Once the backup is created, tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Import the vCard to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use on iOS and Android. The application uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a PC.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the Android device via the Play Store
  3. Open the app on both smartphones
  4. Tap “Send” > “Contacts” on the iPhone
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, choose a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
