Transfer iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with an active Internet connection, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes and click the iPhone
  3. Go to “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts with”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with the Google account you wish to use or click “Configure” and select an existing one
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. After the sync is complete, switch to the Android device and register the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud:

NOTE: If your phone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Go to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export” > “vCard”
  6. Once the vCard has been downloaded on the computer, perform one of the following steps:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Lava device to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Via “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: Although the methods above require computer access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “Send anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard backup file containing your iPhone contacts
  3. After the backup is done, tap “Email”
  4. Write a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third party app you can use on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files, cross-platform, without computer access.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Visit the Play Store and install the same app on the Android phone
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Tap the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  6. Select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
