Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with a Google account. Then you can sync the account data including contacts with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer using the Lightning cable
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Click the iPhone and go to Info
- Enable Sync Contacts with and select Google Contacts
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account if applicable
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android device and register the same Google account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in to the account on a computer with access to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file.
- Launch the Internet browser on the PC
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account and go to Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of these steps:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: You can also share your iPhone contacts using third party apps such as My Contacts Backup. This app can back up iPhone contacts in a vCard file which can then be shared via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Once done, tap Email and make sure the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- Switch to the Android phone and open the email
- Download the vCard attachment and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring access to a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Android device from the Play Store
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- Tap Send > Contacts on the iPhone
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
