Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer and access Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu and log in with the Google account you want to use for syncing. Alternatively, click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- Once the sync is done, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same Google account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: In case the contacts on your iPhone are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account
- Access Contacts and select the desired contacts
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard has been downloaded on the computer, follow one of the steps below:
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer with Internet connection, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Tap Email and make sure the vCard is attached
- Send the email and vCard to your own address
- Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to the phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files, cross-platform, without computer access.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Visit the Play Store and install the same app on the Android phone
- Launch the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Choose a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
