Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Open iTunes on the computer
  3. Click the iPhone and access the “Info” section
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. After the sync is complete, switch to the Android device and sign in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are already backed up on your iCloud account you can log in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Log in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts to share and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. After the vCard is done:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import its contents to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Once the backup is done, tap “Email”
  4. Write a new email and make sure the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  6. On the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use for contact transfer is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring access to a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Launch the Play Store and install the same app on the Android phone
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
