Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account, and then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes and click the iPhone
  3. Access the “Info” section and enable “Sync Contact With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once the process is done, switch to the Android device and log in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Access “Contacts” and select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. After the vCard is downloaded on the computer:
    • Open the Internet browser on the PC and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
    • Connect the Android device to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import its contents to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: Another method for contact transfer is to use third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup”
  3. After the vCard is done, tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
  5. Send the email to your own address
  6. On the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  7. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.

  1. Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Visit the Play Store and install the same app on the Android phone
  3. Launch the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the contacts you want to share and tap “Send”
  6. Choose a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
