Share iPhone Contacts via iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.
- Open the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Go to Info and enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to start the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: In case the contacts on your iPhone are already backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Sign in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard is downloaded:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook using Contacts
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of your contacts
- Once done, tap Email
- Write a new email ensuring the vCard is attached
- Send the email and attachment to your own address
- Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring access to a computer.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
- Open the app on both smartphones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts
