Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with your Android device.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes on the computer
  3. Go to “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Sign in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to begin the sync
  7. Once the sync is done, switch to the Android device and sign in with the Google account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android device

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud Backup:

NOTE: In case the contacts on your iPhone are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Visit https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account and go to “Contacts”
  4. Select the contacts you want to share
  5. Click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Once the vCard is done, perform one of the following steps:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts, or:
    • Connect the Android device to the PC via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and import it to your phonebook via “Contacts”

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party applications. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Launch the app and tap “Backup” to create a vCard containing your iPhone contacts
  3. Once done, tap “Email”
  4. Compose a new email and make sure the vCard is attached
  5. Send the attachment to your own email address
  6. Switch to the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard to your phonebook
  7. Import the vCard to your phonebook using “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Another third-party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types cross-platform without requiring computer access.

  1. Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Go to the Play Store and install the same app on the Android phone
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts” and select the desired contacts
  5. Tap “Send” and select a transfer method on one of the devices
  6. Follow the on-screen steps to complete the process
