Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer with Internet access, you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android device.
- Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
- Launch iTunes on the computer
- Click the iPhone and go to Info
- Enable Sync Contacts with and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Log in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply and once the sync is done, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with the account on a computer with Internet access and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account and go to Contacts
- Select the desired contacts
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard is downloaded, perform one of the following steps:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can be used to back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Go to the App Store and install the app on the iPhone
- Launch the app and tap Backup to create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- Once done, send the vCard to your own email address as an attachment
- Switch to the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard
- Use Contacts to import the vCard to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use, available on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other types of files, cross-platform, without needing computer access.
- Visit the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the app on the Android phone via the Play Store
- Launch the app on both phones
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Select a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
