Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync your iPhone contacts with you Google account. You can then sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android phone.
- Connect the iPhone to the PC via USB
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Click the iPhone in iTunes and go to Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With
- Select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account or click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- Once done, switch to the Android device and log in with the same account used in iTunes
- Set the account to sync contacts with the Android phone
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can log in with your account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for use on the Android device.
- Open the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/
- Log in with your iCloud account and access Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and click Settings > Export vCard
- Perform one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to Google Contacts or:
- Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use Contacts to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app you can use for backing up and sharing iPhone contacts via email.
- Install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone via the App Store
- Launch the app and create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
- After the process is done, send the vCard to your email address as an attachment
- Switch to the Android phone, open the email and download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook via Contacts
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use for contact transfer on Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring computer access.
- Install Send Anywhere on the iPhone from the App Store
- Visit the Play Store and install the same app on the Android device
- Open the app on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Select the desired contacts and tap Send
- Choose a transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
