Transfer iPhone Contacts via iTunes:

NOTE: You can use iTunes on a computer with Internet access to sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, and contacts, with the Android phone.

  1. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  2. Launch iTunes and click the iPhone
  3. Go to “Info” and enable “Sync Contacts With”
  4. Select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. After the sync completes, switch to the Android phone and log in with the same account used in iTunes
  8. Allow the account to sync contacts with the Android phone

Share iPhone Contacts via iCloud:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts are backed up on your iCloud account, you can sign in with the account on a computer connected to the Internet and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Launch the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Access “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. Perform one of the steps below:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to your phonebook via “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the Android phone to the computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “Contacts” to import its contents to your phonebook

Using My Contacts Backup:

NOTE: While the methods above require a computer with Internet access, alternatively you can share your iPhone contacts using third-party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and create a vCard of your iPhone contacts
  3. Once done, attach the vCard to a new email
  4. Send the attached vCard to your own email address
  5. Switch to the Android device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Import the vCard using “Contacts”

Using Send Anywhere:

NOTE: Send Anywhere is another third-party app you can use for transferring your iPhone contacts. The app uses a peer-to-peer connection to share contacts and other file types without requiring computer access.

  1. Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
  2. Visit the Play Store and install the app on the Android device
  3. Launch the app on both phones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Select a transfer method on one of the phones and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
