Enable Battery Saver Mode:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Device”
  3. Tap “Battery”
  4. Tap “Menu” and enable “Battery saver”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
  2. From the Notification area, drag the brightness slider towards the left
  3. Open “Settings”
  4. Access “Display” and optionally, enable or disable “Adaptive brightness”
  5. For timeout duration, tap “Sleep” and select a lower value

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can disable the phone’s connectivity features when they are not actively in use, to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

  1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
  2. Tap the “Wi-Fi” “Bluetooth” and “Location” quick toggles to disable the features
  3. Open “Settings” for more options and access “Location”
  4. Tap “Mode” and enable “Battery saving”
  5. Go back to “Settings” and expand “Wireless & Networks”
  6. Disable “Tethering & Mobile Hotspot”

Minimize Third-Party App Usage:

NOTE: Some third-party apps perform background processes regularly and this can potentially affect the device’s battery life even when the apps are not actively in use. By disabling or removing unused third-party apps, you might improve battery life.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Apps” and switch to “All apps”
  3. Select the desired app
  4. Tap “Disable” or “Force Stop”
  5. To remove the app, tap “Uninstall”

Change Sync Settings:

NOTE: You might be able to improve battery life by changing your sync settings and reduce the amount of data synced by your accounts.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “Accounts”
  3. Select an account type and the desired account
  4. Change the available settings to reduce sync as desired

Keep the OS Up To Date:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS updated at all times.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “About phone”
  3. Tap “System updates”
  4. Check if new updates are available and if applicable, follow the prompts to download and apply them
