Enable Battery Optimization:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access “Battery” > “Battery optimization”
  3. Select an app to optimize
  4. Optionally, you can tap “Menu” and turn ON “Advanced optimization”

Lower the Screen Brightness and Timeout Duration:

  1. On the home screen, swipe the Status bar down
  2. In the Notification area, drag the brightness slider towards the left
  3. Open “Settings”
  4. Access “Display” > “Advanced”
  5. Tap “Sleep” and select a lower timeout value

Disable Unused Connectivity Features:

NOTE: You can turn the phone’s connectivity features when they are not actively in use to avoid unnecessary network scans and potentially improve battery life.

  1. Swipe the Status bar down on the home screen
  2. Tap the “Bluetooth” and “GPS (Location)” quick toggles to turn the features OFF
  3. Tap and hold the “Wi-Fi” toggle and set the switch OFF
  4. Open “Settings” for more options
  5. Access “Network & Internet” > “Hotspot & Tethering”
  6. Tap “Wi-Fi Hotspot” and disable the feature

Uninstall Third-Party Apps:

NOTE: Certain third-party apps perform background processes regularly and this can affect the device’s battery life. You can potentially improve battery life by removing unused third-party apps.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access “Apps & Notifications”
  3. Switch to “See all apps” and select the desired app
  4. Tap “Uninstall” > “OK” to confirm

Keep the OS Updated:

NOTE: OS updates can improve battery life and it’s recommended to keep the OS up to date at all times.

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Go to “System” > “System updates”
  3. Tap “Check for updates”
  4. If new updates are available, follow the prompts to download and apply them
