Clear App Cache/Data:
NOTE: if an app causes problems or takes up too much storage, you can try fixing it by clearing the apps cache or data.
WARNING! When clearing an apps data, all of your personal data stored within the app will be deleted. To avoid this, clear only the apps cache.
- Launch Settings
- Go to Apps & Notifications
- Switch to See all apps and select the desired app
- Tap Storage > Clear cache
- If clearing the app cache didnt fix the problems, tap Clear data (check the WARNING above)
Reset Network and App Settings, Factory Reset:
NOTE: Make sure youve backed up all of your data before factory resetting the phone.
- Open Settings
- Go to System
- Tap Reset options
- To reset network settings, tap Reset Wi-Fi Mobile & Bluetooth
- To reset app settings, tap Reset app preferences > Reset apps
- To factory reset the device, tap Erase all data (Factory Reset) > Reset phone > Erase everything
Reboot to Safe Mode and Uninstall Apps:
NOTE: If a third-party app causes problems and prevents you from removing it, you should be able to remove the app while in Safe Mode where all third-party apps are disabled by default.
- Press and hold Power from the home screen
- From the power management pop-up, tap and hold Power off and accept to boot into Safe Mode
- Once done, open Settings
- Then go to Apps & Notifications
- Switch to See all apps
- Select the desired app and tap uninstall > OK
- To exit Safe Mode, reboot the device normally
