Samsung all the way. They're products both GSM and CDMA are the best phones out there right now. I cannot wait for the SPH-A800 and the SCH-A970 to come out!!
Ask me about Sprint and Verizon

what samsung that is available right now is the best phone u claim. I think the o2 xdaIIs (black version) imate pda2k(silver version) are the best all toghether pocket pc phones some ipaqs are better pocket pcs cuz they are like 624 mhz but just a pda not a phone.especially since you can get a 3300mah battery overclocking on the xdaIIs which i should have in like 2 days is awesome.
its so sexy

Ok i read reviews on the 790 heres the cons
****ty ringtones and they also dont sound good you can barely hear them.
no bluetooth
no speakerphone(what the fck? all of em should have this) but at target they have a wireless speakerphone u put something over the hearing part of the phone and the voice comes out this unit u can clip to the vent.
in CDMA mode the phone was seriously dysfunctional, sending and receiving only about 50% of calls. (some of the phones are defective the replacement worked fine.)
You need a Corporate Tax ID to be able to activate the A790
GSM doesn't have many of the features, like brew, web, mms and my fav, voice kit.
main keys on keyboard pivot and not suited for big fingers
Slippery feel
Outside front screen should be recessed, as it is easily scratched
Need wire to connect to other devices
Limited availability of accessories,
too heavy
- When receiving international calls from some countries from multiple numbers in the US, S. Korea, and Japan) the phone only rings once.not enuff time to answer.
thats about it do you still want the a790

Here is my opinon, take it with a grain of salt.
Motorola use to be the best choice in my opinon. There phones seem to be the lastest in Tech catergory, but they don't seem to be as durable as the phones that came out in 99-01.
Nokia seems to be just as ok/good in the Tech catergory and seems to take a beating and still seems to work. They are the #1 right now in my opinon.
I seen some Audiovox phones go threw just about anything and still work and look good.
Lucky Goldstar has taken alot of Audiovox market share in the wireless phones. LG seem to have good RF in alot of there models. Good durablity in many modles.
Samsung had some very good CDMA phones up 2002 then durablity and RF went downhill. It looks like those features are starting to come back now. Best Samsung in my opinon in its time was SCH-850
Kyocera has been the cheap bargin phone with so so RF and ok/good durability. Seems like they are now getting more into camera phones and other extras now.Last edited by agentHibby; 03-28-2005 at 11:38 AM.
The best provider gives you a plan with the minutes you need at the right price. The coverage that you need to make calls all the time.

Motorola needs to do a lot to claim the best phone title again. I do agree that the razor is nice, and the new pebble and V8 look to be promising, but over-all, they have slipped a lot.
LG, Samsung, and Audiovox have better all around phones over Moto now, and it's showing in sales too.
I sure hope Moto figures this all out and get's back to making a quality phone.
