Is there any way to port over a Pager Number to Cell Phone use?

Carrier is USA MOBILITY WIRELESS, INC, a hospital pager company. in the 415-245-XXXX area code

I know every post I found in "Search" said "Pager Numbers, toll free numbers, and special use numbers are not portable", and wasnt' sure whether that meant:
  1. Pager numbers are generally not portable;
  2. Even if you spend $1,000 US you won't be able to get it ported;
  3. Its a completely different system, numbskull, it is technically or physically impossible;, or
  4. You can try but your results may vary
