Because you might actually like to make mobile phone calls?

    the planet on Skype....

It is actually $0.246/min if you call his mobile phone. Since you
can call his mobile for as low as 8 cents per minute (if he's a T-Mobile
customer) with Voicestick, or for free (if he'll dial back a German
landline number) with Rebtel, it is hard to get excited about
    Skype's price for that call.

Forgive me if I'm not going to post my phone number on the usenet.

However, Skype and wifi are hardly a replacement for true mobile phone
networks. What happens if you're in a call and move from one access
point to another (assuming you find one)? New AP means new IP address,
connection setup time, DHCP negotiation etc etc. Can Skype take a sudden
change of local IP address in a call? What's the servcie interruption time?
