Contact Management

Adding a New Contact:

  1. Tap the "Apps" icon while on the home screen
  2. Launch the "People" app
  3. Access the "People" tab
  4. Tap the "+" button
  5. Enter the contact's name and phone number in the appropriate fields
  6. Select the location where you wish to save the contact, such as on the "SIM", "Phone" or "Google" account
  7. Tap the "Mobile" field if you wish to select a different type of phone number
  8. Add an email address and other optional details for the contact
  9. Tap "Save"

Assigning a Contact to Speed Dial:

  1. Launch the "People" application
  2. Tap "Menu" > "Speed dial"
  3. Tap the "Add" icon. Optionally, you can tap the "Search" field and search for the desired contact
  4. Under "Number", tap and select the phone number you wish to assign
  5. To select a speed dial number, tap the button under "Location"
  6. Tap "Save"

Deleting a Contact:

  1. Tap the "Apps" icon from the home screen
  2. Open the "People" app and go to the "People" tab
  3. Tap "Menu" > "Delete contacts"
  4. Select the contacts that you wish to remove
  5. Tap "Delete"

Importing / Exporting Contacts

Importing Contacts from the SIM Card:

  1. From the "People" app, go to the "People" tab
  2. Tap "Menu" > "Manage contacts"
  3. Tap "Import / Export contacts" > "Import from SIM card"
  4. Select the type of account for importing the contacts
  5. Mark the contacts that you want to import
  6. Tap "Save"

Exporting Contacts to the SIM Card:

  1. Access the "People" app
  2. Go to the "People" tab and press "Menu"
  3. Tap "Manage contacts" > "import / Export contacts"
  4. Tap "Export to SIM card"
  5. Mark the desired contacts and tap "Save"

Importing Contacts from the SD Card:

  1. Launch the "People" application
  2. Make sure you're viewing the "People" tab and tap "Menu"
  3. Tap "Manage contacts" > "Import / Export contacts"
  4. Tap "Import from SD card"
  5. Select the type of account, if necessary
  6. Select the desired backup file to import from, and tap "OK"
  7. If the file is password protected, enter the password and press "OK"

Exporting Contacts to the SD Card:

  1. Go to the "People" tab from within the "People" app
  2. Tap "Menu" > "Manage contacts"
  3. Select "Import / Export contacts" and tap "Export to SD card"
  4. Select an account
  5. To password protect the backup file, tap "Yes". Otherwise, tap "No"
  6. Tap "OK" to confirm

Importing Contacts from the Phone's Storage:

  1. From the "People" app and tab, press "Menu"
  2. Tap "Manage contacts" > "Import / Export contacts"
  3. Tap "Import from phone storage" and select an account
  4. Tap the vCard file that you wish to import and tap "OK"
  5. If the file is password protected, enter the code and tap "OK"

Exporting Contacts to the Phone's Storage:

  1. Press "Menu" while in the "People" app
  2. Tap "Manage contacts"
  3. Tap "Import / Export contacts" > "Export to phone storage"
  4. Tap either "SIM", "Phone" or "Google"
  5. Tap "OK" in the "Confirm export" window

Managing Caller Groups

Creating a New Caller Group:

  1. Launch the "People" application
  2. Go to the "Groups" tab
  3. Tap the "+" icon
  4. Enter the group's name and tap "Save"

Adding Contacts to an Existing Caller Group:

  1. From the "People" app, tap the "Groups" tab
  2. Press the "+" button
  3. Mark the contacts that you wish to add and tap "Save"

Editing Existing Caller Groups:

  1. Access the "Groups" tab in the "People" application
  2. Tap and hold a group and select "Edit group"
  3. Change the name of the group if desired
  4. To add more contacts to the group, tap "Menu" > "Add contacts to group"
  5. To rearrange the group members, drag the "three bar" icons associated with them
  6. To remove a member, mark it
  7. Tap "Save" when ready

NOTE: to edit the options for the groups in the "Groups" tab, tap "Menu" > "Edit group". You can rearrange and delete groups (not group members)
