HTC annouced the HTC Legend at the MWC 2010 and comes as a successor to the HTC Hero. The HTC has a more curvier look than the HTC Hero and sports an aluminum exterior.
HTC took the design of the Hero and changed it in little ways to create a new look. Instead of the previous trackball, the HTC Legend has a optical trackpad and now has a faster processor of 600Mhz and runs on Android 2.1 OS, also known as Eclair. The HTC Legend is a strong and tough handset, that when demonstrated by HTC's CMO John Wong by throwing it up against a wall, came back unharmed thanks to the new aluminum unibody.
The HTC can also "hop" from one homescreen to the next without scrolling due to the multi-touch control called, "Leap". The homescreen panes instantly arranges into a grid with its pinch gesture and just by tapping the pane, you can jump to another pane while you are in the exploded-pane view.
Although the price has not been mentioned, the HTC Legend should become available in Europe and Asia in the second quarter of 2010.
