Installing HTC Sync Master on Your Computer:

Note: for Windows Vista and later, you need to have administrator rights in order to be able and install HTC Sync Master. Also, assuming that you run into issues with the installer, close all programs and try again. If the problem persists, disable your anti-virus program for the duration of the installation process.

  1. Download HTC Sync Manager from the HTC support website: HTC Support Center
  2. Launch the installer and then follow the on-screen instructions
  3. Connect your phone to your PC by using the USB cable that cane with your handset. HTC Sync Manager should open automatically

Transferring iPhone Content to Your HTC Phone:

HTC Sync Manager allows you to easily transfer iPhone content such as messages, camera photos / videos and more. To do so:

  1. Connect both your HTC and your iPhone to your computer
  2. In the HTC Sync Manager program, click "More" and then click "iPhone Transfer"
  3. Click the "Get Started" button
  4. If necessary and if you haven't done this before, use iTunes to back up your iPhone content to your computer.
  5. Click "Next"
  6. Select the iPhone backup file and click "OK"
  7. Select the types of content that you wish to transfer to your HTC device
  8. Click "Start"

Copying or Removing Media on Your Phone:

  1. Connect your device to your computer
  2. Select the desired items. (Note: Media files that have been already copied to your phone will have a smartphone icon on their thumbnails)
  3. Click the icon resembling a smartphone next to a "+" symbol to copy the selected media to your phone
  4. Click the icon shaped as a smartphone next to a "-" sign to remove the selected media from your device

Syncing Data Between Your Computer and Phone:

You can sync your phone to your computer with the following applications:

  • On Windows: Outlook 2003 / 2007 / 2010
  • On Mac: Apple Contacts, Apple Address Book, Calendar, iCar and / or Outlook 2011 for Mac

  1. Connect your phone to your computer
  2. Click "More" in HTC Sync Manager
  3. Mark the check boxes associated with the data types that you wish to sync
  4. Click "Settings" on the data types to customize sync settings
  5. Click the "Refresh" icon if this is the first time you sync.
  6. In order to allow HTC Sync Manager to auto sync data and files next time, click "More" > "Sync Settings" and then select "Sync automatically whenever the phone connects"

Syncing Music, Photos and Videos from Your Handset to Your Computer:

  1. Connect your handset to your computer
  2. Assuming that your smartphone a storage card included, click "More" and then "Sync Settings" in order to choose which storage location you wish to import from
  3. Do one of the following:
    • To copy music from your device to your computer, click "Music" > "Settings" and "Copy all music from phone"
    • To copy photos and videos from your device to your computer, click "Gallery" > "Settings" and then select "Automatically import photos and videos from phone"
  4. Click "Apply" (available only on Windows machines)
  5. Click the "Refresh" icon if this is the first time you sync. To make the HTC Sync Master automatically sync your items next time, click "More" > "Sync Settings" and then "Sync automatically whenever the phone connects"

Syncing Playlists Between Your Phone and Computer:

  1. Connect your phone to your computer
  2. If you have a microSD card installed on your smartphone, click "More" > "Sync Settings" and select the location from which you wish to sync with your computer
  3. Click "Music" > "Settings"
  4. Select "Sync selected playlist"
  5. Select the playlist that you wish to sync
  6. On a Windows machine, you will need to click "Apply"
  7. Click the "Refresh" icon if this is the first time syncing

Syncing Documents from Your Computer to Your Phone:

  1. Connect your phone to your computer
  2. To select between the phone storage or external storage (if available), click "More" > "Sync Settings" and select the desired storage location
  3. Click "Files" and then "Sync Settings"
  4. Select "Sync documents from the following locations on this computer"
  5. Click "Add" and then select the folder containing the documents that you wish to sync to your phone
  6. Click the "Refresh" button if this is the first time syncing
