Using iTunes to Transfer Contacts:

iTunes allows you to sync your iPhone contacts with a Google account, making the contact transfer from iOS to an Android smartphone very easy. Synced contacts include the contact image, email address, contact notes and any other details provided within the contact. For this method you are required to have access to a computer with Internet and iTunes installed.

  1. Launch iTunes on your computer
  2. Connect your iPhone to the computer using the proprietary USB cable
  3. Once it connects, the iPhone will appear in iTunes. Click on it to open the summary page
  4. Go to the "Info" tab and check the "Sync Contacts With" check box
  5. From the drop-down menu, select "Google Contacts"
  6. Register your Google account in iTunes. If you've done this before, you can click "Configure" and select an existing account
  7. Click "Apply" and iTunes will sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account
  8. On the HTC Desire 610, register the same account. If you need to add it, go to "Settings" > "Accounts"
  9. Lastly, allow the Google account to sync contacts with your Android smartphone

Using iCloud to Transfer Contacts:

The iCloud back up service offers the possibility to export contacts in the form of a vCard file, which can then be easily imported on your Desire 610. Assuming that you've used iCloud on your iPhone before, your contacts should already be backed up on your iCloud account. For this method of transfer, you need access to a computer with Internet.

  1. Launch your computer's Internet browser and visit https://www.icloud.com/
  2. Log in with your iCloud account
  3. Go to "Contacts" to view the list of backed up contacts
  4. Select the contacts that you wish to export
  5. When ready, click the "Settings" button depicting a cog wheel (lower-left side)
  6. Select "Export vCard" and your computer will now download a VCF file containing the selected contacts
  7. Import the vCard file to "Google Contacts". Alternatively, skip this step and perform the next one instead:
  8. Connect the HTC Desire 610 to your computer via USB, and transfer the vCard file on the phone's "sdcard" directory. Next, launch the "People" application, go to the "People" tab if necessary, tap "Menu" > "Import / Export" and choose to import from the SD card. Select an account if necessary, and load the copied VCF file

Transferring Contacts Using "My Contacts Backup":

In case you want to transfer contacts from your iPhone without accessing a computer, you can do so with the help of various third party applications designed for contact transfer. "My Contacts Backup" is an iOS app that can back up all of your contacts and send them to an Android device via email. To do so:

  2. Launch the application and tap "Backup"
  3. After the file has been created, tap "Email" in order to attach it to a new email
  4. Enter your own Gmail address in the recipient filed
  5. Send the email to your own address
  6. On the HTC Desire 610, open the email and download the VCF file attached to it
  7. Import the vCard file's contacts using the "People" application - as described at the end of the iCloud guide

Using "Send Anywhere" to Transfer Contacts:

Last but not least, you can use "Send Anywhere" in order to transfer your iPhone contacts without needing access to a computer. Send Anywhere is an iOS and Android application that can send contacts and other file types through a P2P connection. To perform this method:

  1. Visit the App Store and install "Send Anywhere" on the iPhone

  3. Open the app on both devices
  4. On the iPhone, tap "Send" and select "Contacts"
