Install HTC Sync Manager on a Computer:
- Launch the Internet browser on your computer and visit HTC Sync Manager Overview | HTC United States
- Download the HSM installer
- Open the installer once it's downloaded, and follow the on-screen instructions to install HSM on your PC
- Once the application is installed, connect the HTC Desire 510 to your computer via USB
- After it connects, the Desire 510 will appear in HTC Sync Manager
Transfer Content from an iPhone via HSM:
- Connect both the Desire 510 and the iPhone to your computer via USB
- HSM should start automatically. If it doesn't then launch it manually
- From HSM, click "Home" > "Transfer & Backup"
- Click "Get Started" and open iTunes on your computer
- Using iTunes, back up the data stored on your iPhone
- In HTC Sync manager, click "Next" and load the iPhone backup file
- Click "OK" and select the content you wish to transfer from the backup file
- Click "Start"
Removing or Copying Media Files via HSM:
- Establish a USB connection between the HTC Desire 510 and computer
- Launch HTC Sync Manager
- Select the items you want to remove or copy
- Click the "+" button to copy a selected item to the phone
- Click the "-" button to remove selected items from the phone
Import Documents from a PC via HSM:
- Connect the HTC smartphone to your computer via USB
- If you wish to switch between internal and external storage, click "Home" in HSM
- Click "Sync Settings" > "Files" > "Sync Settings"
- Click "Sync documents from the following location on this computer"
- Click the "Add" button and select the items you want to import
- Click "Refresh"
NOTE: You can set the HTC Sync Manager to automatically sync data when the HTC Desire 510 connects to your computer. To do this, click "Home" > "Sync Settings" > "Sync automatically whenever the phone connects"
Importing Media Files from the Desire 510 via HSM:
- Establish a USB connection between the Desire 510 and computer
- Click "Home" > "Sync Settings" to choose between internal and external storage
- To import audio files, click "Music" > "Settings" > "Copy all music from phone"
- To import photos and videos, click "Gallery" > "Settings" > "Automatically import photos and videos from phone"
- Click "Refresh"
Syncing Data and Playlists via HSM
NOTE: You can use the HTC Sync Manager to sync bookmarks, calendar events, contacts and other types of data between the smartphone and computer.
On a windows PC, HSM can be used to sync data from Google Chrome, Firefox, Internet Explorer and Outlook 2003 or newer. On a Mac computer, HSM can sync data from Apple Calendar, Address Book, Outlook 2011 for Mac, Google Chrome, Contacts, Safari and Apple iCal
Sync Data Between a PC and Desire 510:
- Connect the Desire 510 to your PC via USB
- In HTC Sync manager, click "Home" > "Sync settings"
- Mark the check boxes associated with the files that you wish to sync
- Click "Settings" to change the sync settings
- To start the syncing process, click "Refresh"
Syncing Playlists from Windows Media Players and iTunes:
- Establish a USB connection between the Desire 510 and computer via USB
- From HSM, click "Home" > "Sync Settings"
- Select the location where you want to sync the data
- Click "Music" > "Settings" > "Sync selected playlists"
- Select a playlist and click "Refresh"
