Back Up Application Data:
- Tap Apps on the home screen
- Open Settings and scroll to Personal
- Tap Backup and reset
- If necessary, tap Backup account and select Google account > Add account
- Sign in with the Google account you want to use for the backup
- Turn on Back up my data and Backup account
Back Up Contacts Using a Google or HTC Account:
- Ensure the phone is connected to a Wi-Fi network
- Open the apps drawer and access Settings
- Scroll to Personal and tap Backup and reset
- Tap Backup account
- Select Google account or HTC account
- To perform daily backups over Wi-Fi, turn on Automatic backup
- To back up contacts manually, tap Back up now
Back Up Media Files on a Windows PC:
- Establish a USB connection between the HTC Desire 630 and PC
- On the phones home screen, swipe the Status bar down
- Enable Media device (MTP)
- On the computer, launch the File Explorer
- Use the explorer to locate the media files on your phone
- Copy the files and transfer them in the desired backup location on your computer
- After the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray
- Safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
Back Up Media Files on a Mac:
- Connect the Desire 630 to your Mac via USB
- Access the phones Notification area and enable Media device (MTP)
- On the Mac, open the file explorer and locate the media files on your phone
- Copy the files and paste them in the desired backup location on the Mac
- After the transfer is complete, drag the phones virtual drive from the desktop and into the Trash can to eject it
- You can now safely disconnect the phone from the USB cord
