Sync iPhone Contacts With Google Using iTunes:
NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet, you can sync the contacts on your iPhone with your Google account. You can then sync the account data, including contacts, with the Android phone.
- Open iTunes on the computer
- Connect the iPhone to your computer via USB
- In iTunes, click the iPhone and access Info
- Enable Sync Contacts With and select Google Contacts from the drop-down menu
- Sign in with your Google account, or alternatively click Configure and select an existing account
- Click Apply to begin the sync
- After the sync is done, switch to the HTC phone and register the same Google account used in iTunes
- Allow the account to sync contacts with your Android device
Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:
NOTE: If your iPhone contacts have been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access iCloud on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in vCard format for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on the computer
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
- Access Contacts and select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- Once the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
- Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard file to Google Contacts, or:
- Connect the HTC U Ultra to your PC via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage, and use People to import it to your phonebook
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: Although the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can transfer your iPhone contacts using third party apps. My Contacts Backup is an iOS app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on the iPhone
- Launch the application and tap Backup
- Once the vCard backup file is done, tap Email
- Ensure the vCard is attached to the email, and send it to your own address
- Switch to the HTC device and open the email, then, download the vCard attachment
- Import the vCard to your phonebook using People
Via Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another third party app you can use is Send Anywhere, available on both Android and iOS. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to transfer contacts and other file types without requiring a computer.
- Go to the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Visit the Google Play Store and install the app on the HTC phone
- Open the application on both devices
- On the iPhone, tap Send > Contacts
- Choose the desired contacts and tap Send
- Lastly, select the desired transfer method on one of the devices, and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the transfer
