Share iPhone Contacts Using iTunes:

NOTE: Using iTunes on a computer connected to the Internet you can sync your iPhone contacts with your Google account. Then you can sync the account data, including contacts, with the HTC smartphone.

  1. Open iTunes on the computer
  2. Connect the iPhone to the computer via USB
  3. In iTunes, click the iPhone and go to “Info”
  4. Enable “Sync Contacts With” and select “Google Contacts” from the drop-down menu
  5. Log in with your Google account or click “Configure” and select an existing account
  6. Click “Apply” to start the sync
  7. Once the sync is done, switch to the HTC device and register the same Google account used in iTunes
  8. Set the account so that it can sync contacts with your Android device

Share iPhone Contacts from iCloud Backup:

NOTE: In case your iPhone contacts have already been backed up on your iCloud account, you can access the account on a computer connected to the Internet, and export the contacts in a vCard file for Android use.

  1. Open the Internet browser on the computer
  2. Head down to https://www.icloud.com/
  3. Sign in with your iCloud account
  4. Go to “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and click “Settings” > “Export vCard”
  6. After the vCard has been downloaded, follow one of the steps below:
    • Open the Internet browser on the computer and import the vCard to “Google Contacts” or:
    • Connect the HTC Desire 555 to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard to the phone storage and use “People” to import it to your phonebook

Using “My Contacts Backup”:

NOTE: While the two methods above require a computer connected to the Internet, alternatively you can use third party applications to share your iPhone contacts with an Android device. My Contacts Backup is an iOS third-party app that can back up and share iPhone contacts via email.

  1. Go to the App Store and install “My Contacts Backup” on the iPhone
  2. Open the app and tap “Backup”. This will create a vCard file containing your iPhone contacts
  3. Tap “Email” and make sure the vCard is attached
  4. Send the email and attachment to your own address
  5. On the HTC device, open the email and download the vCard attachment
  6. Import the vCard’s contents to your phonebook using “People”

Using “Send Anywhere”:

NOTE: Another third party application you can use on both Android and iOS is Send Anywhere. The app uses a peer-2-peer connection to share contacts and other file types, cross-platform, without requiring a computer.

  1. Visit the App Store and install “Send Anywhere” on the iPhone
  2. Install the same app on the HTC device via the Google Play Store
  3. Launch the app on both smartphones
  4. On the iPhone, tap “Send” > “Contacts”
  5. Select the desired contacts and tap “Send”
  6. Lastly, select the desired transfer method on one of the devices and follow the on-screen prompts to complete the process
