Transfer Audio Files from a Windows PC:

  1. Connect the HTC device to your computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” when prompted or from the “Notification” area
  3. Launch the File Explorer on the computer and locate the audio files on the PC storage
  4. Copy the desired audio files and transfer them on the phone storage, preferably in the “Ringtones” and/or “Notifications” folders, or the “Media” directory
  5. Once the transfer is complete, eject the phone storage via system tray and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Change the General Ringtone:

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Access “Settings”
  3. Go to “Personalize”
  4. Tap “Ringtone” and select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “Apply” to confirm

Change a Specific Contact’s Ringtone:

NOTE: Custom ringtones cannot be assigned for contacts located on the phone’s internal memory or the SIM card.

  1. Open the apps drawer
  2. Launch “People”
  3. Tap the desired contact and tap “Ringtone”
  4. Select the desired ringtone
  5. Tap “Apply” to confirm

Change the Notification Alert Sound:

  1. Launch “Settings”
  2. Scroll to and tap “Sounds & Notifications”
  3. Tap “Notification sound” and select the desired notification alert
  4. Tap “Apply” to confirm
