Restore App Data:

  1. Connect the phone to an active Wi-Fi network if necessary
  2. Open “Settings” and go to “Backup and reset”
  3. Tap “Restore from HTC backup”
  4. Follow the prompts to complete the process

Restore Contacts from an Account:

  1. Open “Settings”
  2. Access “Personal” and tap “Accounts & Sync”
  3. Log in with your Google or HTC backup account
  4. Check “Contacts” if necessary, then tap “Menu” > “Sync Now”

Restore Media Files from a PC:

  1. Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
  2. Enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
  3. Open the File Explorer on the PC
  4. Navigate to the media file backups on the computer
  5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the “Media” directory or the folder(s) of origin
  6. Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port

Restore Media Files from a Mac:

  1. Connect the Android device to the Mac via USB
  2. On the phone, enable “File Transfer” / “Media device” at the prompt or from the Notification area
  3. Open the File Finder on the Mac
  4. Locate the media file backups on the Mac storage
  5. Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
  6. Once done, drag the phone’s virtual drive from the desktop and drop it over the “trash can” to eject it
