Restore App Data:
- Connect the phone to an active Wi-Fi network if necessary
- Open Settings and go to Backup and reset
- Tap Restore from HTC backup
- Follow the prompts to complete the process
Restore Contacts from an Account:
- Open Settings
- Access Personal and tap Accounts & Sync
- Log in with your Google or HTC backup account
- Check Contacts if necessary, then tap Menu > Sync Now
Restore Media Files from a PC:
- Connect the Android device to the computer via USB
- Enable File Transfer / Media device at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open the File Explorer on the PC
- Navigate to the media file backups on the computer
- Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the Media directory or the folder(s) of origin
- Once the transfer completes, eject the phone storage and safely disconnect the device from the USB port
Restore Media Files from a Mac:
- Connect the Android device to the Mac via USB
- On the phone, enable File Transfer / Media device at the prompt or from the Notification area
- Open the File Finder on the Mac
- Locate the media file backups on the Mac storage
- Copy and paste the files to the phone storage, preferably in the folders of origin
- Once done, drag the phones virtual drive from the desktop and drop it over the trash can to eject it
