Connecting to Wi-Fi

1. Press the Home key and press the Menu key.
2. Select System settings –> if the Wi-Fi switch is turned to OFF, tap it to turn it to ON. Your Kyocera Event will then search for nearby available wireless networks.
3. Tap Wi-Fi -> the located networks will then be displayed.
4. Tap the Wi-Fi network you’d like to connect to. In case the network you selected to connect to is secured, you’re going to need to enter a pin -> enter the passkey and select Connect.
5. More information may be required depending on the security settings and the network type.

Note: Once you've successfully connected to a secured network, the next time you try to connect to that network you won’t need to re-enter the password and you will automatically connect to it when you turn the device on. However, if you reset your smartphone to the factory settings, you’re going to need to enter the passkey again.

Checking the Wireless Network Status

1. From the Home screen press the Menu key.
2. Tap System settings -> tap Wi-Fi.
3. Then tap the network your device is currently connected to. You will then see its settings, such as network name, speed, signal strength, status as well as other details.
4. Want to remove this network? Then tap Forget. Keep in mind that you’ll have to enter the settings again if in the future you want to reconnect to it.

Connecting to a Different Wireless Network

1. From the Home screen, press the Menu key.
2. Then select System settings -> tap Wi-Fi. You’ll see all the detected Wi-Fi networks displayed here.
3. If you want to manually scan for other available networks, tap SCAN.
4. Then tap the new network you’d like to connect to.
5. Or, in case the network you wanted to find is still now displayed in the list of detected networks, scroll down the screen -> then tap ADD NETWORK -> manually enter the network settings and tap Save.
