Using iCloud:
NOTE: If you have used the iCloud backup service on your iPhone prior to finding this guide, your iPhone contacts should already be backed up on your iCloud account. By accessing the account on a computer connected to the Internet, you can export your contacts as a vCard file for Android use.
- Launch the Internet browser on your PC
- Visit https://www.icloud.com/ and sign in with your iCloud account
- Click Contacts
- Select the contacts you want to share
- Click Settings > Export vCard
- After the vCard file is downloaded on the computer, import it to Google Contacts or skip this step and instead:
- Connect the Hydro Air to your computer via USB, transfer the vCard file to the phones storage, and import its contents using the Contacts application
Using My Contacts Backup:
NOTE: While the methods above require you to have access to a computer, you can also transfer your contacts without one, by using third party apps instead. My Contacts Backup is a third party app for iOS that allows you to back up and transfer contacts via email.
- Visit the App Store and install My Contacts Backup on your iPhone
- Open the app and tap Backup
- Once the vCard backup file is created, tap Email
- Compose a new email containing the vCard file as an attachment
- Send the email to your own address
- On the Kyocera phone, open the email and download the attached contact backup file
- Launch Contacts and use the Import option from the apps menu to add the vCards contents to your phonebook
Using Send Anywhere:
NOTE: Another app you can use for contact transfer is Send Anywhere. The app uses a P2P connection to transfer data from one device to another, even cross-platform. The method doesnt require a computer.
- Launch the App Store and install Send Anywhere on the iPhone
- Install the same app on the Hydro Air via the Google Play Store
- Open the app on both handsets
- Tap Send > Contacts on the iPhone
- Choose the contacts you want to share and tap Send
- Lastly, select a transfer method. You can tap Receive on the Kyocera and enter the transfer code from the iPhone, or tap Generate QR Code on the iPhone and scan the code with the Hydro Airs camera to begin the transfer
