I don't want to pay for a service, nor do I want a cable. I have a website, can I use that to post midi files or something to download on my phone?

Either way you'd be paying for a service. You're better off getting a data cable and transferring the files directly to your phone. Otherwise it's a pix message or internet use.

    my analysis on that

if you have a sound editing program like "myvoicetones studio" they usually send your edited sound through verizon's picture email, for example: "[email protected]" then you can save the sound thats attached to the file to your phone. The only problem is that the phone will only save your sound if it is under 30 kb. Personally, i think you should just buy a data cable, radio shack has it cheaper than the verizon wireless store and store in your mp3's that way. Anyways its your choice, hope this helps

    Data Cable

I just received the LG 4010 & a data cable. I don't have the wap or internet enabled. I'm having difficulty finding info on how to download ringtones & images from my puter to the phone with the data cable. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. All that was included with the cable was drivers.

I have an LG Vx4500 and I use a data cable I bought from RadioShack (20.99 and well worth it), downloaded the necessary drivers from the Yahoo vx4500 forum and downloaded the latest test version of bitpim (7.12 I believe). I've never had a problem, it works flawlessly.
