BitPim: The phone is not responding while transitioning mode from none to brew.

This error is preventing my LG VX6100 from being seen on my Mac port of BitPim. On a Windows machine, I can access my phone with no problem through BitPim. Do we have a BitPim troubleshooting expert out there that can help me?

Ok, I can help myself. The following is just for the record. I use a TUSB3410 Boot Device as my USB Data Cable (as seen in Apple System Profiler) and have found that I needed a driver that Texas Instruments provides as a beta. All one has to do is request it at [email protected] . Once this was installed, the cable was recognized immediately in BitPim.
