After you have taken them, you can just email them to your email address. It really is just that easy.

If the photo is your gallery, go to it, then hit options and send. Type in your email address and send away.

The pink arrow is usually indicating that your phone is dowloading something. Go to messaging (#2 on the menu), the multimedia messaging (#3), New message (#1), new, then click add image and pick what image u want to send and then go down and send will come up on the left soft key; they a blank box will come up and it will be set to #'s so you change it to letters and type in ur email address (@ is in the symbols menu and . is 1) then click send and that pink arrow will probably be there showing that your phone is uploading the image and then ur good. This def. should work because I've done it 20+ times.
Edit: You need a multimedia messaging plan otherwise its like 25 cents(wont break the bank) I believe and if you want click next slide to add more pictures, I've sent around 4 but I don't know how many is possible. So as long as multimedia messaging is available you're gravy.

I should not be taking that long, a few seconds or minutes, definitely not hours. How many bars do you have?

Yes you need the internet otherwise there is no connection being made to the internet, which means no connection to your e-mail. Without the internet you won't be able to send anything to other sources on the internet.
