I have an LG VX3200. I bought an extended life battery for it b/c the original battery doesn't even last 10 minutes while talking on it. When I put the new battery into the phone, it tells me "Use genuine battery" and it will power back off. The battery that I bought says to use it w/ the phone that I have, so I'm confused of why I can't do that. Does anyone have an idea of how I can maybe 'unlock' the phone in some way to accept the battery, or is the battery just useless?

Its probably not your battery. Its your phone. Its messed up. If its still under warranty exchange it out for a new one thats all. A new battery isnt going to say that. If it doesnt work it just wont work.... Its the phone
