Why Me?!vx3300

So, for the second time in two months my phone hates me. The first time the problem worked itself out after a few days, but this round seems to be never ending. Out of the blue my phone displays that it is in car kit mode... and I cannot deactivate it no matter what. Needless to say, when I make outgoing calls I cannot hear anything,nor can I hear when someone calls me because my phone thinks it's ringing to the speakers in my car (which I have never connected it to). Is there anything that can be done, other than getting a different phone?

sounds like it might need the software flashed, take it to a verizon corporate store and have a tech look at it. that would be your best bet.

does the battery have the tell-tale water damage sign - the pink colored dots? that's been rumored to kick the lg's into car kit mode.

or it could be the charging port in the bottom is dirty and corroded(sp)
