How do I disable the GPS in my VX 8300.
I dont like broadcasting my location to some database every 2 minutes....or how can I effectively jam the signal. I am retired and at most go to my American Legion meetings or things like that but I hate knowing some government entity has a need to know my daily activities ..... I know phones have this built in......I want to disable it. Permanently. I have no dishonorable intent.....I have an intense distrust ....
Thank you in advance

Re: Disabling GPS
On my LG, it has a setting for E911 only. The GPS only works when you call 911. It is to verify your location or to find your location if you do not know your location. Unless you have added a parental tracking program, the GPS does nothing. No one can track where you are just by having your phone on.
