I am trying to add music to my LG VX8300, I have the data cable & loaded the drivers & installed bitpim. Bitpim works except it won't let me add music to my phone. I just added a 512mb card today. When I try to sync music with my phone I get a "connect failure" please check you cable connection to your pc.
I tried using Windows media player, but it won't recognize my phone.
My provider is verizon wireless. Can anyone help?

Be mindful of these requirements:
1. The filenames must be shorter than 32 characters
2. The files must be WMA or MP3
3. The correct Artist, Album and Title must be in the ID3v1 tags
You may also find it helpful to download (free) the latest drivers and Music Essentials Manager software here:
Download Drivers and Music Essentials Manager from Verizon
You could use that software to load your music files as well, and it will intercept faulty files (Windows Only)
It takes a few minutes after you plug the phone into the computer via the USB Data cable -- be patient. Make sure you have gone to the music library in the phone and pressed "Options --> "Sync"
Once the phone is recognized, you can also use "My Computer" and navigate to the device that lists your phone and copy files that way.
When I say BitPim is slow -- I mean it can take 5 minutes to load a song that would take 10 seconds when transferring directly to the card. The Verizon software is much faster than BitPim, but a bit slower than a direct copy to the microSD card.

File --> Edit --> Settings
You'll see a "Com Port" Listing. There's a button to the right of that which will allow you to "Browse" for another COM Port and set it manually.
You do not SYNC the phone when working with BitPim...only with the Verizon software.
The microSD card is in the FileSystem under /mmc1 for my 8600. I think yours is the same but I'm not sure. Someone jump in and correct me if I'm wrong.
