My LG 6200 with Bell Mobility ended up in the bathtub full of water.
It works, but sometimes intermittently and gets really hot when I charge it. Not sure exactly what is wrong - thought initially to just buy a new battery since the phone is more than 3 years old, but the battery may not be the problem.
Rather than spend a lot of time, effort and money to try to fix it, I thought the best route would be to just buy a used LG 6200 as a replacement.
Question now is - if I do, how do I program this to my phone number?
Do I have to get Bell to do this (at a charge I assume) or can I do this myself.
A Bell rep once told me I can do it, but I can't find instructions how to anywhere.
Anyone know?

Re: How do you activate a replacement LG 6200?
You are going to have to get ahold of bell mobility and have them activate and then program your number into the new phone.
They will run the ESN to make sure the is ok to use (ie not stolen or reported lost). If all is ok, they will activate it and your number will now be on the new phone.

Re: How do you activate a replacement LG 6200?
Bell Mobility will assign your number to the Electronic Serial Number of your phone but you will have to program the phone with the proper codes to repond to an incoming call. Alternatively, you can go to a Bell Mobility store for them to do it. They will only activate a phone which is in their database. A CDMA phone from a carrier other than Bell Mobility will not be activated.
