Can't "apply as" Ringtone on LG Secret

I apologise if this has been covered before..

I recently got a LG Secret phone and I am having a hard time getting a certain ringtone.

Not that its really important, the tone I am trying to apply is a Family Guy one of "Herbert" leaving a series of messages on an answering machine.

Getting it to my phone was no problem, I can easily access it from music file etc and play it back without a hitch. It just won't give me the option to "use as" my main ringtone...

Is there a way around this? Or a certain way I must download it?

Some LG phones have a max ringtone size of 300kb. How big is the file you are trying to make a ringtone?

Hi there and thanks for the reply..

I checked on the phone and it is a 149.7kb file mp3...

I have downloaded another ringtone (from Rogers/Canada) and it was/is fine as a ringtone and gives me the option to "use as". (it is a 79.7kb file)
